The Pacific Mountain Workforce Development Council works closely with our local community colleges to develop training courses leading to jobs in demand occupations. Dislocated workers, low income adults, and youth enrolled in our Workforce Investment Act Programs also receive financial support for tuition and books while enrolled at college, along with case management support to help them find an Internship Opportunity in their career field. The case manager also helps with securing financial aid and, after graduation, landing the perfect job.

The Council makes critical investments in workforce training and education so that businesses can be competitive and prosperous.

Economic Development

Workforce issues are often a barrier in the ability to retain, grow and attract businesses. The Council works closely with all of the Pacific Mountain area’s Economic Development Authorities in helping businesses with all of their workforce needs. If you are a business searching for expansion sites, we invite you to contact any of the Economic Development Councils for Incentive and Assistance information.

A public private partnership is essential to the success or our work.

The Council works closely with labor and the education system to secure grant funding to support pre-apprenticeship training opportunities.

Community Based Organizations

Community based organizations are essential to the success of our organization’s goals.  Working together, we can support the most in need in our communities as they return to school or gain post secondary education and/or training.
